I am way too late in writing a review about this movie since this was released in 2012. But give me chance, I just finished watching this film and I wouldn't be at ease without having to share what I have to say about it.
A story that will confuse and mark a big question in your face but will leave you satisfied. At last a motion picture that's not predictable and cannot be classified with every other movie we're seeing these days. In fact, it would be a breathe of fresh air to see something else like this. Please do tell if you know of similar films, I'd be glad to check them out.
Somehow most movies released in cinemas and television today are basically telling the same stories over and over and, let's be honest, it gets boring along the way.
If you want to see a work of art that won't make you say, "I knew this was the plot", "I knew this would be the ending", and so on and so forth, then you should watch this movie.
I'm not gonna write a summary about this because it'll just spoil things. Just go ahead and watch it yourself. To be honest, I thought I wouldn't reach the end of this film. And... what a surprise, I did and I must say I was entertained.
I wanted to see a feel-good movie -- something uplifting and gratifying. Also one that will satisfy my thirst for quality cinematography and substantial storyline. Here comes The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. I've been planning to watch it when I saw the trailer the previous year (unfortunately, the cinemas here had this movie playing just this month). The story progresses from Walter drifting into his outrageous daydreams and later going out there into the real world embarking in actual adventures. It's a quintessential tale of dreaming and living. I don't know why but I'm so into dreams. I'm sort of a daydreamer myself (don't worry I don't space out too much). Teehee!
Ben Stiller directs and stars this crowd-pleasing romantic adventure fantasy comedy-drama alongside actors Kristen Wiig and Sean Penn. Basing on James Thurber's 1939 short story of the same title, the story will show viewers how Walter escapes his anonymous life zoning out into a domain where he is the hero and achiever. Walter Mitty (Stiller) is a Life magazine negative assets manager who takes action when his job and the rest of his fellow workers are threatened. He ventures into an intercontinental search for negative number 25 that's supposed to be the cover photo for their final edition. Following clues left by photojournalist Sean O'Connell (Penn), he travels the globe going through risky and exciting undertakings he never thought he'd experience without having to daydream.
If you are looking for carpe diem theme for a film then you better get
yourself in the cinema (or in front of your TV) now and watch this movie. Afterwards, you might
be planning on the next big adventure of your life Walter Mitty style.
I'm a late bloomer regarding this viewing pleasure. If I haven't met friends who are avid fans I'd be missing out a lot of the amazing and extraordinary world of Japanese Animation.
When I was in high school I considered watching this stuff stupid, without even thinking that the late afternoon show I was obsessed with during grade school (Mojacko) was actually anime. Jokes on me. I was wrong... so so wrong. My classmates were all over Ghost Fighter, Slam Dunk, and the like. The first anime I ever watched from start to finish was Fushigi Yugi, being influenced by a close friend. Off to college, watching any more of them went out of the picture. I met new friends after graduation who are anime lovers. As we kept hanging out I soon appreciated the diverse art form. Getting engrossed with different animation series got me into trying to learn the Japanese language and made me more interested with their culture.
To date I still watch anime, particularly One Piece, because they go on forever. Well, I hope they never stop creating interesting stories. They can go on and on and I wouldn't mind following their marvelous adventures.
Kimihiro Watanuki has the capacity to see spirits. He meets a witch, Yuko Ichihara, who grants his wish of removing said ability on the condition that he become her temporary part-time cook and housekeeper. Watanuki goes on hair raising errands making him more accustomed to the paranormal world.

When the request is accepted Ai Enma (Hell Girl) offers the client a straw doll with a red string. Once the string is pulled the object of hatred is ferried to hell. In exchange of this service, clients will also go to hell when their life ends.
Set on Edo era Japan (with a tint of modern and hip-hop), three strangers come together on a journey across the nation. Fuu is a brave young girl who asks Mugen, a rogue with a unique fighting technique, and Jin, a calm and cool bespectacled ronin, to join her in finding the "samurai who smells of sunflower".

I remember dreaming of becoming an astronaut. It would've been cool to be one of the very few females to watch Earth from the vastness of outer space. Floating in the galaxy would be an unforgettable experience. As a kid, I wasn't really thinking of the dangers of this profession. The thought of being out there swimming in deep space simply astounded me. This movie tickled my fancy; I just had to see this in the big screen.
2013 sci-fi drama Gravity revolves around Dr. Ryan Stone (Sandra Bullock), a bio-medical engineer, on her first space mission with veteran astronaut Matt Kowalsy (George Clooney). While servicing the Hubble Space Telescope, things go wrong as their space shuttle becomes damaged by a chain reaction of destruction from a Russian anti-satellite test. This visual spectacle makes viewers witness the dead silence of outer space and an astronaut's struggle to survive the unkind cosmos.
If you're expecting aliens, cosmic apocalypse and other stuff like that, this is not the movie you're looking for. One thing's for sure though, it's a good watch so go ahead buy that ticket and enjoy the show.
There's something about French love story films. A concoction of intense romance, mystery, charm, blitheness, incredibility and at times a hint of tragedy. These movies are injected with riveting twists that they leave an impression that's hard to forget. You would want to tell a friend to watch them so you'll have someone to relate to; you can't just keep it to yourself. Suddenly you find yourself yearning to watch more French movies may it be in different genres.

Mathilde remains hopeful that her fiance Manech is still alive after being condemned to death due to self-mutilation to escape service in the war. In search for the truth, she discovers interesting stories of the different men who were to face the same fate with her lover.
What makes these movies interesting is probably due to the fact that it's French-- the language, lifestyle, setting. I don't really know, I can't quite explain it myself. Maybe it's just the French way; maybe... C'est la vie!
If you want a good laugh and a ghost story, Pee Mak is the movie to see. This 2013 Thai comedy horror film is surely an enjoyment; you'd be smiling after watching it. I too was laughing my heart out in the cinema that's why I'm recommending this as a must-watch.
After serving at war, Mak (Mario Maurer) invited his four soldier comrades, who later became his closest friends, to stay in his aunt's house for a couple of days. There is a rumor circulating the village that Nak, Mak's wife, is already a ghost; her death caused by childbirth while he was away. A series of hair raising events occurred and his friends try to prove to Mak that the rumor is true.
The Pirates of the Caribbean has come to its fourth installment and it has not seized to entertain. New adventures with new characters but the delivery is the same-- perfect, just perfect. Encounters with mysterious mermaids; finding silver chalices; the quest for the fountain of youth takes us on exciting undertakings. The mixture of comedy, thrill, and action boils down to a great movie for all ages.
This time, the added love story is no longer about Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann. Captain Jack's love interest is finally revealed. Angelica, the Latin beauty and wit, fits just right for Jack. Would probably be seeing more of her in the coming adventures.
Blackbeard was interesting yet his amazing ability was a little less showcased. How he captured those ships and placed in the bottles would have brought more to the movie if there were scenes of it. Barbossa, of course, the "villain turned ally turned king's man turned ally again" will always be one of the compelling personalities in this film series. Jack Sparrow most definitely is the same Captain Jack everyone came to love-- crazily clever and adorably funny!
Overall, this movie is awesome! We'll be setting out to sea for two more great adventures with these pirates. Aye aye Captain!
