Woody's

Burgers! Burgers! Burgers!

Finally, a burger joint in my city with a delicious variety in their menu. Aside from that you can also order some pizza, appetizers (e.g. squid calamari, onion rings), shakes, and coffee.

The burger comes with your choice of side dish, either french fries or onion rings, and drinks (beer, juice, or iced tea). You'll be full in no time. Their food is scrumptious and appetizing, it's worth the price and wait.

Cheesecake

When you're done munching on the burger, ask what dessert they have in stock (they don't have it in the menu). If they happen to have the cheesecake from New York available, you should try it. I swear, it's delicious.

I commend not only the good taste of their food but the service as well. The staff is welcoming and friendly you'd feel right at home.

Don't forget to ask for their worldwide burger tour card. Every time you come over order any of the burgers in the card. Once you've completed tasting each, you can order any of their burger for free. Sounds good? Yep, sounds real good.

PS. My apologies for the bad pictures. They do not justify the food since they're not as appetizing as they should be (blame it on the camera haha).

2 Story Kitchen

A few years back when I was still Dumaguete based and up to when I graduated college, I always visit Cafe Noriter. Aside from the food, the ambiance lures me into spending my hours at that place. Unfortunately, the cafe was closed. There's no need to be sad though because the cafe resurrected with a new name and new location (which turned out to be right across the previous cafe). The coffee shop is still run by the same owner with the same relaxed feel, and even much better arrangement and design. It's now called 2 Story Kitchen.

Adults and children alike will enjoy the place. It's actually like a playground or a study room that you want to stay in all day long. The menu is filled with scrumptious treats from Korean food, burgers, pasta, desserts and sandwiches. Of course, good tasting coffee is served. I wouldn't mind spending a whole day there just refilling my cup 'til there's no more room in my tummy. Teehee! I just love this coffee shop.

Isn't the place inviting? Now let's take a look at the food...

Iced Vanilla Latte

Ok, one more series of shop shots. I just can't get enough of it. ;]

What are you still doing here? Go and check out the place! ^_^

Black Forest Hut

Homemade, natural, European. Are you looking for all three to get a bite to eat? Then look no more. Black Forest Hut offers that. We had a chitchat with the owner and most of their dish are freshly prepared so it's gonna take a little wait before munching out. For those used to the sweet-style Filipino cooking, don't be surprised when the food they serve tastes a little different. This snack bar strongly promotes cooking without artificial ingredients and breaking the rules of using too much sugar. Upon opening the menu, you'll find an explanation of that on the first page. Black Forest Hut is the place to be for healthy and natural foodies.

Pizza Philippiniana (with Mango)

Fresh Mango Juice

Hollandse Krokette

This restaurant is best known for their homemade ice cream with unique flavors. Garlic ice cream? Haven't tasted that and I'm sure it teases your curiosity as well. Many drop by just to get a taste of this delectable cold dessert. As recommended for the adventurous, Garlic and Spicy Chocolate is a must-try.

If you are bored of the same old fast food taste with too much salt or sugar it's about time to take a short drive from Tagbilaran City downtown to Dauis junction or out of town to Baclayon and grab their menu to get a taste of natural cuisine with European touch.

Enjoy their food al fresco

Bialetti Caffe

Matcha Frizzante

Living in a small city, it's hard to find places around to enjoy a good cup of gourmet coffee. To know that there's a another java shop that opened recently, it's refreshing news, to coffee lovers like me at least. Bialetti Caffe just started admitting customers earlier this year. The yellow room is as warm and welcoming as their baristas and appetizing menu.

This coffee bar is right next to Dong Juan Restaurant. In fact, you can also order from the latter while indulging a Bialetti brew.

Apart from hot and cold coffee, tea, frappes, and smoothies they also have a favorable selection of pasta, sandwich and panini. At PhP140, you can get a mug of brewed coffee and cake of your choice (depends on availability). This combo instilled joy in my coffee-crazed self. Teehee! I'll keep posted on other combos they might cook up.

The relaxed environment is a perfect spot to unwind with a precious cafe noir, spending the afternoon delighting on the wonders small coffee beans bring.

Sweet Home Cafe

Sweet Home Cafe is a good place to sip a mug of cappuccino while enjoying a book, catching up online, hanging out with a friend or just killing time. The cozy and comfortable atmosphere makes you want to stay a little longer. The homey ambiance justifies the name of the place.

Not only will you  take pleasure on its setting, you can revel on an array of scrumptious food and drinks as well. My favorites are Hot Cappuccino, Berry Blue Yogurt Smoothie, Cucumber Quencher, Baked Spaghetti, All-American Burger, and Red Velvet Cake.
